About the Project

The youth project of the “Isha L’Isha” (Woman to Woman) center has existed since August 2020. Its goal is to create an inclusive and supportive space for young feminists who want to do activism in various fields (which will be detailed later). We believe that there are formal and informal challenges that stand in the way of young women creating change in their community. The group includes Mizrahi women, Palestinian women, Ashkenazi women, trans women and on the non-binary continuum; hetero, bisexual and lesbian women; women who have come out of the ultra-orthodox and religious worlds; women with disabilities. The members of the youth community of “Isha L’Isha” come from different and varied struggles with life experiences complexities shaped by the patriarchy – domestic violence, addiction, transphobia, sexual violence, mental struggles, financial difficulties and more. The project aims to make accessible, teach and accompany young women in radical activism processes. That is – in creating change related to their lives and identity. In the project, the participants learn how to create change which relies on and channels the personal “stomach aches” into a broad and solidary political activity of women towards other women, who are different from them.
