Areas of Activity

Women and Disabilities

About the Project

Among the many areas included in feminist discourse is the issue of “double exclusion”, that is, what it means to be a woman living with invisible or visible disabilities. The project is designed to promote the rights of women with disabilities in both the private and the public spheres: from recognition and benefits, to planning and accessibility.

The project includes the following activities:

  • A mixed research group (Jewish and Arab women, women with and without disabilities).
  • Writing reports and position papers
  • Raising public awareness through meetings, conferences and media
  • Promoting policy change among decision makers
